The
Kent Professional 510 Las Vegas is a solid-body electric guitar from
1963, designed in New York by the Kent Musical Instruments Company (Buegeleisen & Jacobson) and manufactured in Japan by Guyatone. It reflects the early days of the solid-body electric guitar and is fully in keeping with the aesthetics and sound of the 1960s.
Its one-piece mahogany body, combined with a one-piece maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, offers a smooth feel and low action. The neck is reinforced by two parallel truss rods, a notable technical solution for the time. The large headstock and sunburst finish complete its distinctive visual identity.
In terms of sound, it delivers a typically sixties tone, warm and direct, immediately evocative of the first great British rock and pop productions. The electronics are original, with a master volume control. The original killswitches, known for their sensitivity, are currently bypassed but can be reactivated on request.
This is a used instrument in good overall condition considering its age, with signs of wear consistent with nearly 60 years of history. A rare, sought-after model, it is both a playing instrument and a true collector's item.
Come see it in store.
