LAG Roxane 500 - Brown Shadow

The Roxane R500 by Lag is far more than just a reinterpretation of a classic American double-cutaway guitar. It’s an instrument designed to deliver modern, deep, and powerful tones, built for hard rock, traditional metal, or any genre demanding a dynamic response and sharp attack.

Its body is made of poplar—an affordable alternative to alder with a well-balanced tonal range, topped with a flamed maple veneer that adds a touch of visual elegance. The bolt-on mahogany neck features a comfortable C-profile and a Blackwood fingerboard (a sustainable acacia wood with tonal characteristics between koa, mahogany, and rosewood), equipped with 22 jumbo frets for modern, fluid playability. The 24.75" (629 mm) scale length ensures a soft string tension, ideal for expressive bends and smooth lead playing.

For electronics, Lag has opted for two Seymour Duncan humbuckers to deliver massive, articulate tone: a SH-11 Custom Custom in the bridge position for heavy, saturated riffs, and a SHPG-1 Pearly Gates in the neck for smooth, vintage-sounding leads. Both volume knobs feature push/pull coil-splitting for crisp, single-coil-like tones—making the R500 a true sonic chameleon.

A LockTone Tune-o-matic bridge with Stopbar tailpiece, Lag sealed tuners, and no-nonsense hardware provide rock-solid tuning stability and playing comfort. The glossy body contrasts with a satin-finished neck for a sleek look and fast, easy movement.

Weighing in at an average of 3.1 kg, the Roxane R500 remains comfortable whether on stage or in rehearsal. It's ideal for players seeking a versatile, powerful, and stylish guitar, built with quality components at a highly competitive price.
