Westone Spectrum ST x135 Japan (Pre-Owned)

Manufactured in Japan's renowned Matsumoku factories between 1985 and early 1987, the Westone Spectrum ST x135 is a typical MIJ (Made in Japan) era electric guitar, robust, well thought-out and surprisingly versatile. With its sober, efficient design, it perfectly reflects the spirit of the Japanese instruments of the mid-80s.

With its solid maple body and screwed maple neck, it offers a clean attack. The rosewood fingerboard, fitted with 22 nickel frets, guarantees comfortable, precise playability throughout the 25.5" pitch range. The graphite saddle ensures good tuning, reinforced by high-quality Gotoh TSA tuning machines.

On the electronics side, two Magnaflux I UBC (Unbalanced Coil) pickups offer a vintage sound palette. The push/pull on the tone allows a coil tap, adding finer textures to double-coiled sounds. Controls are simple: one volume, one tone, a 3-position selector, and the original Switchmaster knobs.

This pre-owned guitar shows visible signs of use, indicative of an instrument that has lived and been played; a detail that could appeal to lovers of instruments with real personality.
