GUILD D-140 SunBurst

The Guild D-140 Sunburst is an acoustic dreadnought designed in the tradition of the great American folk guitars. It offers generous projection and harmonic richness, ideal for both chordal accompaniment and fingerpicking.

This D-140 is built with a solid spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides, a classic combination that produces a full, warm and precise sound. The Westerly scalloped bracing in Sitka spruce ensures excellent tonal balance, while promoting resonance.

The C-shaped mahogany neck is comfortable and fluid. It is topped by a rosewood fingerboard with a 16” radius, for natural playability. The guitar features 20 frets and a 648 mm pitch, with a nut width of 44.5 mm, offering plenty of room for precise playing, even for large fingers.

Aesthetically, this Sunburst version features an elegant gloss finish and classic Guild tuning machines. Bone saddles in the headstock and bridge contribute to the richness and precision of the overall sound.

The D-140 Sunburst is an excellent choice for dreadnought enthusiasts looking for a sturdy, well-balanced, all-massive acoustic guitar with a beautiful vintage aesthetic.
