This vintage gypsy guitar follows in the tradition of early 20th-century instruments, featuring a construction highlighted by a deeply arched spruce top that enhances projection and responsiveness. The walnut back and sides provide a warm, balanced foundation, while the instrument as a whole produces a bright, precise, and well-defined tone, particularly suited to rhythmic playing.
The neck, featuring a more modern design, offers appreciable playing comfort while preserving the instrument’s character. Restored by Phil Becker in 2007, this guitar combines authenticity and playability, striking an interesting balance between vintage spirit and modern demands.
