Leslie Cabinets to (Re)Discover at Le Domaine Musical

I had the pleasure of diving into the nooks and crannies of the store in search of hidden treasures. Between a few trips to the storeroom and detours in front of the Model C proudly on display, the mythical Pinarbox, or the 60s guitars stashed away in the back, I could already sense that this store had many more stories to tell.

It was during a chat with Gilles, who was sharing a few anecdotes about his many finds, that I discovered the two imposing pieces of furniture sitting discreetly in the back of the store, which were none other than... two Leslie cabins! One had arrived somehow, the other had been abandoned here by a Hammond organ buyer, no doubt discouraged by its size.

Curious and excited, I immediately went to take a closer look. And what a surprise: two legendary models: a Leslie 760 and above all a Leslie 122, the latter fully functional, with its Combo PreAmp pedal! These cabs, which I'd studied for so long in my sound engineering classes, were finally in front of me.

With the help of Hugo, our luthier, we extracted them from their hiding place. With a smile on his face, he told me about his little “Jimi Hendrix” moment during his last test of the 122.

We pampered them, photographed them from every angle, and the next day they were ready for sale. With just one wish: that these two marvels find a new home where they'll be pampered and used again.

See you in store to discover them!

See you soon!
